Well, I am jumping into this blog world to document the many crazy days of our lives. We are a fun loving family of 4 living in East TN. We love lots of things....for Brian there is hunting, fishing, hiking..you know- all of that "guy" stuff. I love scrapbooking, my puppy dogs, doing things with my children, the water. Hayley, my 10 year old tomboy princess....she is all about cheerleading, softball, horses, crafts (she doesn't get that from me for sure), anything pink, pedicures, pampering, fishing, the list goes on and on. And then there is Ty, my wild and crazy 8 year old ball of energy. He is all about FOOTBALL, he loves football. Mostly college football, he is a HUGE Florida Gators fan, but also some pro football, mostly the Denver Broncos. When Tebow got drafted to the Broncos I thought I was going to have to sit on him, he was sooo excited.
We are starting on an adventure in just a couple of weeks,. We will be homeschooling Ty this year. I am sooo very excited about it. I am doing this out of necessity but don't view it that way at all. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the planning and organizing up to this point. Ty seems very excited about the idea of homeschooling but I don't know what his "idea" is. We shall see. Again I am very anxiously excited about our newest adventure and can't wait to get started.
We have had a great summer thus far. We spent 2 weeks in Florida camping at Disney World, the kids stayed with family for an additional 2 weeks. My brother and sister-in-law have visited often. Now they are moving up in just a few weeks. That will be exciting to have them closer with my nephew who will be 1 this weekend.
Speaking of this weekend, it's going to be a busy one. Football starts next week so Ty has to get his uniform this weekend, Hayley has been raising chickens for 4-H- that show is also this weekend. Hayley and Ty also have a fishing tournament this Saturday night. As I mentioned earlier my nephew also turns one this Saturday. We are having his party at the lake on Sunday. Hayley is responsible for the planning but she hasn't been very helpful. It will be great I am sure. I think I will sleep well when it's all over and done with. I take lots of pictures, I hope to share a lot of them here because they mean so much to me.
Wow, I have said a lot for a first post. Maybe I will enjoy this more than I realized. I hope you leave comments, I don't want to feel like I am talking to myself.
Wow! I found you this morning on the MFW Blog Roll...and here I get to comment on your inaugural post and become your first follower - yeah! I did ADV with my girls last year, and it was a wonderful experience (our first year with MFW after doing other things before). I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. And I hope you might stop by to visit me: http://tinahollenbeck.blogspot.com. :^)
